wpd Colombia

wpd entered the South American market through of Chile in 2009, and later, in March 2023, it established “wpd Colombia S.A.S.” in Bogotá, Colombia with the main business objective to develop onshore wind and PV projects.

wpd Colombia aims to develop wind and solar farms to become an important renewable energy developer/IPP (Independent Power Producer) in the country and play an important role in the energy transition goals .

Our long-term vision is to develop a significant combined power generation capacity of onshore wind and solar PV projects either independently, or jointly with our local partners.

We are also planning to bring our competitive value chain services, asset Management and Technical O&M, to the Colombian market in the future.

As wpd Colombia, we are members of Association of Renewable Energies Colombia (SER Colombia)
